Increase Diversity Bake Sale Enrages Racist Moonbats

Nothing could be more racist than pointing out that liberals are racist. That’s why moonbats’ heads are exploding over the Berkeley College Republicans “Increase Diversity Bake Sale,” which offers a pricing structure that reflects race-based admission preferences:

The bake sale is in protest of SB 185, which, if signed by Brown, would allow California public universities to consider a number of non-academic factors such as race, gender and nationality in the admissions process in order to increase campus diversity.

California public universities [supposedly] stopped considering race in admissions in 1997 after California voters passed Proposition 209.

Obviously race, gender, etc. are major factors in college admissions regardless of what proposition or legislation is passed, as the extreme Left has a stranglehold on the education establishment. But militant moonbats want systematic discrimination against Caucasians to be officially sanctified — in clear opposition to the majority of Californians — so they won’t be put to the inconvenience of denying it.

According to Joey Freeman, ASUC [Associated Students of the University of California] External Affairs Vice President — who said he found the event “incredibly offensive” — there are a number of misconceptions about the legislation, namely that it gives preference to underrerpresented minorities. He emphasized that the bill would only allow — not require — admissions officers to consider race and nationality.

Oh, that’s all right then.

I wonder what Joey would make of this scenario. Say there’s another dimension in which the systematic discrimination is against blacks and Hispanics, rather than against whites like it is in our world. In this strange alternate world, a law is proposed stating that it’s okay to discriminate against blacks and Hispanics. The law is intended to be applied to the activities of flaming bigots who bend over backwards to discriminate against blacks and Hispanics even when they are explicitly forbidden to. But the law doesn’t require discrimination; it only permits it. Is the law racist?

Second question for Joey: if so, aren’t you a hypocritical fool?
