Pay Attention to Who Is Teaching Your Kids

If this story doesn’t get the point across, nothing will:

A former Los Angeles elementary school teacher charged with blindfolding students and [feeding] them cookies laced with his semen has agreed to plead no contest to all charges, an attorney for some of the victims said Thursday.

According to the plea deal, Mark Berndt will get 25 years. Fortunately his brand of perversion hasn’t been reclassified by liberal authorities as “normal” yet.

Berndt taught at the South Los Angeles school [Miramonte Elementary School] for more than 30 years.

Here’s what happened first after his teaching methods became known:

Berndt was fired and the Los Angeles Unified School District then paid him $40,000 to drop his appeal, which officials said was the most immediate way to ensure he wouldn’t be a threat to other children.

Sometimes you can’t help but feel nostalgic for days not long gone by, when a rope and a strong branch would have accomplished this objective much more effectively, at a substantially lower cost to the parents of the children he defiled.

But then, cost isn’t an issue for the parents, because the lawsuits are predictably flying:

[Sixty-three] cases have been settled for a total of $29.5 million, and 71 are pending.

It’s wonderful that so many parents and their lawyers will cash in thanks to our system of jackpot justice. But the long-term effect will be to motivate educrats to look the other way rather than investigate when they suspect something sick is going on. This could be why previous complaints regarding Berndt’s behavior were ignored.

Reportedly, Berndt fed children semen both on cookies and by spoon. He also let cockroaches crawl on their faces. But hey, that’s just who he is sexually. Let’s not be judgmental.

You can’t just turn your kids over to the government for half their waking hours and assume everything will turn out okay. Stay engaged.
