Reporter Asks Donald Trump to Name His Favorite Bible Verse — Look at How He Responds

The fact that so many people are supporting Donald Trump’s candidacy continues to be absolutely mind-boggling. He quite obviously is saying whatever he thinks right-leaning Americans will eat up, although his recent Bible-thumping has backfired on him, rather spectacularly.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump declined to name his favorite Bible verse during a Wednesday interview, despite being pressed by Bloomberg Managing Editor Mark Halperin.

The question to the real estate mogul came as Trump offers praise to the Bible during speeches at campaign events.

“You have been talking about how it’s your favorite book,” Halperin said. “I’m wondering what one or two of your most favorite Bible verses are.”

“Well, I wouldn’t want to get into it,” Trump replied. “Because that’s very personal. You know, when I talk about the Bible it’s vey personal. So I don’t want to get into it.”

Halperin pressed, again asking if he would name a favorite verse or two.

“No, I don’t want to do that,” Trump said.

Another reporter asked the billionaire if he is an “Old Testament guy or New Testament.”

“Probably equal. I think it’s just incredible, the whole Bible is incredible,” Trump said.

This is a man who has openly said that he’s not religious, yet he wants to sell himself as a religious man when it suits him. But then, why should anyone be surprised? He’s a Democrat in Republican clothing who has given money to the Clintons and held the opposite views on literally every position he’s taken as a “Republican” — why would he have any problem whatsoever lying about his religious beliefs when it’s convenient to him, too?
