Man consumes 182 slices in 5 minutes to earn bacon-eating world record

Mmmm… bacon. I’ll bet Stonie was one full bacon-eater after that feat. I can’t believe he ate that much, that fast. He must not chew at all. It’s a wonder he doesn’t choke. And man… I wouldn’t want to live around the guy for a few days after this kind of binge. Just sayin’. With his metabolism and the fact he is young, I doubt that Matt gives a flying pig about sodium content. He must really, really love bacon. Seriously, though… who doesn’t love bacon? My son even shops for bacon flavored vodka. Yes, it really does exist. No, I wouldn’t drink it myself. But some bacon lovers know no end to their pork-loving ways.

From WSB Radio:

For those who think there’s no such thing as too much bacon, think again.

Competitive eater Matt ‘Megatoad’ Stonie set the bacon-eating world record by consuming 182 slices of bacon in five minutes.

Stonie, one of Major League Eating’s top two eaters in the world, estimated that he ate about six pounds of cooked bacon. That amount contains over 28,000 milligrams of sodium, according to Smithfield, the event’s sponsor.

Stonie told The Huffington Post that he didn’t feel that bad after the competition. The bacon was cooked a bit crispy which is Stonie’s preference during competitions because he doesn’t like to have to chew.

Stonie claims that despite the massive bacon consumption, he will never lose his love of the pork product.

Six pounds of bacon. Still trying to get my head around it. The grease alone would be staggering. Some pig really gave their all for this contest. Just how in the world do you become a competitive eater? Do you wake up one day and say, pun intended, think I’ll pig out for the world? I love, love, love bacon, but there are limits to my love for it. Evidently, Matt ‘Megatoad’ Stonie doesn’t suffer from such limitations. His bacon love knows no bounds. Megatoad? Wonder where he got that nickname.
