GoFundMe Shuts Down Page for Christian Bakers Forced to Pay $135K to Militant Gays

Living according to moral principles in an increasingly authoritarian society dominated by the belligerently depraved comes at a price. Currently that price in Oregon is $135,000:

An Oregon commission proposed Friday levying a $135,000 hit against Aaron and Melissa Klein for refusing to provide a wedding cake for a same-sex marriage ceremony based on their Christian beliefs.

Aaron and Melissa Klein, who are struggling to make ends meet after closing Sweet Cakes by Melissa in September 2013, received the 110-page proposed order Friday from the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, which ruled against the couple in February. …

“This is not money coming from a business, this is not money coming from an insurance fund, this is money coming straight from our bank account,” Mr. Klein told the Family Research Council’s Craig James in a radio interview Friday.

The best part from the point of view of our liberal overlords is that they are forced to give the money to the militant gays who deliberately ruined their lives to compensate the thugs for “emotional damages.”

In a press release, the bureau said that an administrative law judge had awarded $60,000 in damages to Laurel Bowman-Cryer and $75,000 in damages to Rachel Bowman-Cryer for “emotional suffering stemming directly from unlawful discrimination.”

Now you see why homosexuals seek out Christian businesses so as to demand the owners betray their faith. It isn’t malice alone; the sport is quite remunerative.

The media and other authorities will always side with malicious degenerates. But as we saw when $800,000 was raised through crowdfunding for Memories Pizza, the American people are still mostly decent, despite decades of ubiquitous liberal propaganda. A GoFundMe campaign quickly raised over $100,000 for the Kleins so that they might be able to feed their kids after having been forced to close their bakery.

But then the GoFundMe page mysteriously went dark:

Late Friday night, anyone looking for the GoFundMe page set up to help the Gresham bakers facing a large unlawful discrimination award would have hit a dead end.

More precisely, they would get a “Campaign Not Found” message on the Support Sweet Cakes by Melissa web page.

GoFundMe admitted to shutting down the campaign, but refused to say why, other than that it was found “to be in violation of our Terms and Conditions.”

Liberals are in charge of pretty much everything.
