In the ever popular debate about gun control and background checks, it’s important to understand the liberal logic behind requesting background checks for private gun sales in relation to criminal use of guns. Background checks are fine. Go for it. But don’t think that requiring background checks will prevent criminals from committing crimes. Criminals don’t follow laws. If they did, then we’d live in a utopia.
