Couple’s Selfie in Crowded Room May Reveal Missing Man’s Whereabouts

A picture’s worth a thousand words, but this picture may be priceless to one family, who believes the image has captured the location of their missing son.

From LiftBump:

In September of 2014, 31-year-old Scotsman, Jon Anderson Edwards, went missing in Lagos, Portugal — where he had been working as a chef — just days after falling over and hitting his head.

According to the Mirror, he went missing without a trace.

“He went out on a Friday night and had a fall and said he’d been feeling sick and dizzy afterwards. He went missing without his phone, clothes and passport,” his mother, Lesley Edwards, told the Mirror.

Police in both Portugal and the UK have been searching for his whereabouts for almost a year.

Recently, though, Edwards believes that she may have seen her son in a picture taken with Chelsea Football Club fans at a game in London.

She shared the photo on Facebook.

Edwards is hoping that someone at the game can help locate her son. She told the Mirror:

“We’re contacting the club and police to try and get to the bottom of it but we’re hoping someone out there who was at the game or recognizes him may be able to help us.”

It is a mystery as to how Edwards could have gotten back into the UK because the Portuguese government still has his passport.

*** UPDATE ***

Unfortunately, the sister of the man pictured contacted the family to break the news that he’s not, in fact, their missing son.
