GOP SHOCKS America With This BOLD Move – Demanding Truth About Iran From Obama Admin…

Maybe the GOP has a few with stones after all. House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce is asking for the State Department’s IG to investigate the deleting of a segment of video in 2013 that showed the US was having clandestine talks with Iran on the nuclear deal. A formal request for looking into the admitted alteration of the video and transcript was submitted to Inspector General Steve Linick. State Department officials finally admitted to the deletion after initially lying and saying it was a technical glitch. But they claim they don’t know and can’t know who did it. Bull crap. Given the sensitivity of dealing with a foreign enemy like Iran, you would think we could get to the bottom of this. But the State Department is refusing to investigate further. Royce wants to know how it is possible that no one at the State Department knows who asked for the edit to be made. “For instance, it remains unclear why the exchange between Ms. Psaki and reporters was stricken from the video recording,” he wrote. We’d love to know why as well.

From the Washington Examiner:

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Ed Royce, R-Calif., on Friday asked the State Department’s Inspector General to investigate the altering of a video in 2013 that hid a key part of a discussion about the Iran nuclear talks.

Royce wrote to Inspector General Steve Linick to ask for a formal investigation after the State Department admitted on Wednesday that the video was altered on purpose, and that officials didn’t know who did it.

State also said it would not be investigating any further into who was behind the alteration.

“In tampering with this video, the Bureau of Public Affairs has undermined its mission to ‘communicate timely and accurate information with the goal of furthering U.S. foreign policy,'” Royce wrote. “This is all the more troubling given that the video in question dealt with hugely consequential nuclear negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Royce also wants to know if there will be ANY accountability on this and if it has happened before. “Will there be no accountability?” he asked. “Have there been other instances where the State Department has altered the public record?” This deals with the segment where Fox News’ James Rosen asked Jen Psaki about secret talks between the US and Iran. Those talks were indeed taking place and we were being blatantly lied to. Psaki claimed that there are times that diplomacy needs privacy… that is only the case if you are hiding things from the American people that you don’t want them to know about. I wish Royce and the GOP luck with getting to the bottom of this, but the way the State Department and Obama stall and cover things up, I’m not hopeful this will ever be resolved.
