REVEALED: Megyn Kelly’s Fate After Fox Contract Is Up?

Megyn Kelly is one of the most popular cable news hosts on air right now. She is a hard-hitting journalist who doesn’t give in to liberal bias and is not afraid to stand up to anyone who appears on her show. And given her visibility this election season, her status as a fantastic anchor has only been solidified. But her contract with Fox News will be up next year — so what will happen then?

Fox News has been one of Donald Trump’s biggest supporters in the media throughout the election, so Kelly’s feud with Trump had some thinking that she might have angered Fox News higher-ups and be on her way out. But the thing is, feuds create ratings and Kelly’s have remained phenomenal. And Fox News doesn’t want to risk losing her… so they offered her an astonishing $20 million contract to get her to stay.

Multiple sources confirmed the news in an article published in Vanity Fair and Kelly’s new $20 million salary would make her equal to Bill O’Reilly, the only other Fox News host to receive such generous compensation. O’Reilly’s show is the only one to have beaten Kelly’s over the last year, as Kelly received an average of 2.3 million viewers to O’Reilly’s 2.8 million.

While Kelly has always been a firebrand, she’s made a big name for herself over the past year. And she has been able to appeal to both conservatives and liberals with her take-no-prisoners approach and willingness to stand up to anyone. She also was one of multiple Fox News hosts to accuse Roger Ailes of sexual harassment and was allegedly a key player in ousting him from the network.

Still, Kelly has to accept the offer before anything is carved in stone and she has left the door open to pursuing other opportunities. “I really like my show, and I love my team,” she said. “But you know, there’s a lot of brain damage that comes from the job. There was probably less brain damage when I worked in the afternoon. I was less well known. I had far less conflict in my life.”
