Two patriotic, pro-gun networks have been dropped by a media giant, and considering that the media skews liberal, it’s easy to question whether or not it’s just a coincidence. Ted Nugent’s show was featured on one of the cancelled networks, and he had a lot to say about the cancellation.

Two pro-USA, pro-gun networks have been dropped by Verizon FIOS.

Verizon FIOS got rid of both the Sportsman Channel, which features Amazing America with Sarah Palin, and the Outdoor Channel, which features Ted Nugent’s show. Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, LLC (“KSE”) owns both networks.

Verizon claims that there is low viewership on both networks.

Ted Nugent, though, isn’t having it. He claims that bias is driving the decisions to cancel the channels.

Nugent, appearing on Mama Grizzly Radio, stated: “Political correctness is choking the life out of the freedom in this country. You’ve got a bunch of punks on the other side of the world that think that somehow in between barbecues the animals have rights—which is so absurd that Alfred E. Newman wouldn’t include it in the next issue of Mad Magazine because he’d be too busy flying over the cuckoo’s nest.”

Nugent talked about the “soullessness of those on the Left that are against truth, nature, God’s creation, and the perfection of tooth, fang, and claw that produces back straps to feed America and the world. It really is Planet of the Apes stuff when you’re against this kind of perfection.”

He said about Verizon: “Anybody that’s against hunting, fishing and trapping, the Second Amendment, and self defense—you really have to be from some planet other than Earth.”

Nugent thinks that this decision brings us closer to the “Michael Bloomberg dream” of more gun free zones.

He counters Verizon’s claim that low viewership is driving the decision, saying instead: “It’s a lie. It’s a political correct escape mechanism. Verizon is infested with anti-hunters, animal rights freaks, anti-gunners, people that don’t believe in self defense.”

Without seeing the actual numbers, it’s hard to know who to believe. But Nugent certainly could be right that the networks were cancelled because they leaned too conservative.
