Melania Trump Just Put Michelle Obama to SHAME by Saving Taxpayers Millions

Barack and Michelle Obama were heavily criticized for the amount of taxpayer dollars they spent while in the White House. In addition to the typical expenses for president, the two frequently took lavish vacations, costing tens of millions of dollars. So how are things shaking up in the Trump White House? So far, it appears to be an improvement.
Friday, Donald Trump released an annual report to Congress detailing his White House staff, their jobs and how much they would be paid. Trump will be employing 377 staffers in the White House, about 100 fewer employees than Barack Obama had in 2015. This alone will be a savings for taxpayers: Trump’s staffers will be paid a combined total of $35.8 million, while Obama paid his staffers $40.9 million in 2015.
If Trump maintains these salaries for four years, or his entire first term as president, it could save taxpayers $20 million. His highest-ranking staffers are those with the title of “Assistant to the President.” Trump has 22 people in this position, the same as Barack Obama did and they include people like Kellyanne Conway, Steve Bannon, Reince Priebus and Sean Spicer. They are paid $179,700 each. But that is where the similarities end. While Obama had multiple “czars” — advisers to specialize in specific areas of interest — Trump has zero.
Trump also has multiple people on his staff not taking any salary at all or a very low salary. Most notable among them are his daughter and son-in-law, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, who are being paid nothing. Two of his top advisers, Gary Cohn and Christopher Liddell, are receiving a salary of just $30,000 each.
It also isn’t just Donald Trump being more conservative. The office of the First Lady is also saving taxpayer dollars. Melania Trump has just five staffers, with a total of just $600,000 per year in salary. For Michelle Obama, it was much higher: she employed 24 people, with a multi-million dollar payroll.
