Chris Matthews is OUTRAGED the GOP Allowed a Benghazi Victim’s Mother to Speak at the Convention [VIDEO]

On Monday, the RNC welcomed the mother of one of the Americans slaughtered in Benghazi to speak at the convention. She laid the blame for her son’s death on Hillary Clinton – the disastrous Secretary of State who did nothing to assist as Americans fought for their lives and who now seeks a job promotion. Predictably, MSNBC’s Chris Matthews had a hissy-fit and claimed that the RBC “ruined their evening” by allowing the mother to speak.

MSNBC’s Chris Matthews stated the RNC “ruined” the first night of its convention by including the mother of slain Benghazi State Department employee Sean Smith in the line up of speakers.

During her remarks at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Patricia Smith said, “For all of this loss, for all of this grief, for all of the cynicism the tragedy in Benghazi has wrought upon America, I blame Hillary Clinton. I blame Hillary Clinton personally for the death of my son.”

“I don’t understand why the Republicans would choose to put this on primetime television, when they have such wonderful stories of American heroism to speak to the American people,” Chris Matthews said of Smith’s speech. “I think it was wrong, I don’t care what that woman up there — the mother — has felt. Her emotions are her own.”

“But for the country, in choosing a leader, it’s wrong to have someone up there and tell a lie about Hillary Clinton. It’s not true. It’s logically not true and manifestly not true” he added. “And I think it’s wrong they ruined their evening with this.”

Smith on several occasions has stated that Hillary Clinton told her personally at the repatriation ceremony when her son’s body and those of the three other Americans killed in Benghazi arrived at Andrews Air Force base in 2012 that a video was the cause of the attack.

Other victims’ family members have stated the same, though emails released during last fall’s Select Committee on Benghazi hearings revealed the former secretary of state knew the night of the terrorist strikes that they had nothing to do with a video.

Smith said in her convention remarks, “[Clinton] lied to me, then called me a liar!” causing boos to erupt from the crowd. “She looked me squarely in the eye and told me a video was responsible.”

The woman explained one of the reasons she blames Clinton is because the night before the attack, Sean, her only child, told her, “Mom, I’m going to die. All security had been pulled from the embassy.”

“When he asked why, he never received a response. Nobody listened. Nobody seemed to care,” she said.

The Benghazi Committee’s investigation found hundreds of security requests from Ambassador Chris Stevens and others in Libya went unanswered in the months leading up to the Sept. 11, 2012 night.

Smith pivoted near the end of her remarks to the 2016 presidential race. “Donald Trump is everything Hillary Clinton is not. He is blunt, direct and strong. He speaks his mind and his heart … He will make America stronger, not weaker,” she stated.

The mother concluded: “This entire campaign comes down to a single question: If Hillary Clinton can’t give us the truth, why should we give her the presidency?” which garnered cheers and applause from audience.

Matthews can reiterate all he wants how Hillary had “nothing” to do with the deaths in Benghazi. The fact is that she was the Secretary of State, she helped craft policy that destabilized the region, she repeatedly denied requests for additional security measures, she failed to act as Americans fought for their lives and “someone” gave the order to stand-down as American warriors waited eagerly to go and rescue their comrades.

In the aftermath, she repeated countless lies and orchestrated a cover-up.

But no, according to Chris Matthews, insisting that Hillary should be held accountable for her dereliction of duty is pure slander….
