Well, in a move that surprises no one who’s been watching the Obama administration for almost 8 years, climate change beliefs are now being considered as a factor when deciding military promotion. Because apparently, in Obama-world, climate beliefs impact military skill and readiness. Right. Except that they don’t. Scroll down for video.
From The Federalist Papers:
Speaking in New York City earlier this week, Rhode Island Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, a Democrat, claimed that Navy Secretary Ray Mabus has begun evaluating commanders based on whether or not they subscribe to the unproven theory of climate change.
“Ray Mabus said he’s starting to actually evaluate his — you know, the military lives by evaluation — they’re starting to evaluate their base commanders on how well they communicate the risk of climate change about the base,” he said, according to The Daily Caller.
“So, if you’re the base commander of Norfolk, or of Naval Station Newport, or of — what is it, Cherry Creek Marine Air Station in North Carolina — you are suddenly have on your checklist of what you’re evaluated on how well you’ve communicated what the risk of climate change is.”
We don’t need any more ridiculous distractions when it comes to our military. We need a Commander in Chief who understands that the US military is not a game, not a social experiment and not a place to play politics. Obama cannot be gone soon enough. Our men and women of the military deserve better.
