The Turkish coup has failed and Erdrogan remains in power. But many paid with their lives and many citizens were terrorized as in this horrifying video footage. Read on for details.

Shocking footage shows bullets raining down from the sky as terrified people run for their lives on the streets of Turkey during last night’s military uprising.

Nearly 50 civilians and 41 police officers were killed during a five-hour rebellion last night, which was eventually crushed by the ruling government.

Footage from the carnage on the streets shows how tracer bullets lit up the sky, flying above the heads of people running away, amid the deafening sound of the helicopter gunship.

Turkey is the worse off for the failed coup. So much loss of life and nothing but continued tyranny to show for it. We can only hope that at some point the Turkish people will have a leader who values democracy, freedom and secular rule. But as it stands now, due to Erdrogan’s polices, Turkey inches ever closer to Islamic rule. To those who died, rest in peace.
