Pelosi Gets Berned… Faces Pro-Sanders Primary Challenger

Oh boy, how the mighty are about to fall.

House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi, is the one politician I can think of that embodies everything that is wrong and out of touch with the Democratic Party. Democrat voters are tired of the hypocrisy of their own candidates and are now looking towards their very own Donald Trump. Someone who can be so off the wall different from the normal tow the line politician.

Well, I believe they have found that person. Unfortunately for Pelosi, this puts her on the chopping block…

But don’t feel too bad for the long running Pelosi (I know, you’re really hurting inside). It was under her leadership that Democrats lost more than 60 seats in the House of Representatives from 2008 to 2016 and that should show just how bad the party has crashed and burned, leading by words and actions that do not represent the people.

After Hillary’s loss in 2016, many to the left derided Pelosi’s reelection as House Minority Leader. She had made it clear that she had no intention of steering the boat down new waters after the loss and it was at a private, three-day conference with billionaire donors that Pelosi really showed her arrogance and disdain for the party’s own voters by creating a strategy — without consulting with any Democratic supporters.

In December, right after the election, Pelosi confirmed her plans to go with the status quo, claiming “I don’t think people want a new direction.” At a CNN Town Hall back in February, she again disclosed her contempt for progressives (Okay, I can’t fault her for that), answering a question from a millennial Sanders supporter about the Democratic Party’s chances of embracing Sanders’ populist message:

“Well, I thank you for your question, but I have to say we’re capitalists—that’s just the way it is.”

Pelosi then started down on a classic do-nothing rant, disputing that the solution was to make billionaires and millionaires compassionate:

“We have to change the thinking of people,” she said. “The free market is a place that can do good things.”

That was enough for millenial Bernie voters to throw their support behind Nancy Pelosi’s challenger, employment attorney Stephen Jaffe, as he has recently launched his campaign.

His words?

“Two words: Bernie Sanders. My goal is to try to pull the Democratic Party away from the establishment, corporations, big money, big oil, big pharma, and return it to the people.”

Oh, yay…

In John Hawkins’ new book, ‘101 Things All Young Adults Should Know’, he teaches in chapter 17 in the book, “If you want to know what a person really believes, watch their actions.” Pelosi’s actions have shown exactly what she believes and like so many politicians, it’s the belief that the American people are dumb and should be subservient to the upper class political elite.
