2 Cops Killed in Ambush Attacks… MEDIA IGNORES [VIDEO]

The violence against police has unfortunately continued, as police across the country face being ambushed by violent thugs. The latest tragic incident happened in Iowa, where a madman hunted down two police officers and shot them as they sat in their squad cars.

46 year-old Scott Michael Greene was arrested eight hours after he allegedly shot two Des Moines police officers, Justin Martin and Anthony Beminio. Two weeks earlier, Greene had posted a YouTube video of himself being kicked out of a high school football game by police officers, after he stood in front of a group of black people, waving a confederate flag. He had previous run-ins with law enforcement before that, including domestic assault, harassment and assault causing bodily injury. He had also filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2007.

Urbandale police officer Justin Martin was shot and killed at around 1:00 in the morning as he sat in his squad car outside the same high school where Greene had been forcibly removed two weeks earlier. As officers responded to the scene, they discovered Beminio, who had been shot two miles away just 20 minutes later. Martin was declared dead on the scene, while Beminio was transported to the hospital, and died there.

Sgt. Paul Parizek, spokesman for the Des Moines Police Department, gave a press conference around 5:00 am after the shootings. “There’s somebody out there shooting police officers. We hope to find him before somebody else gets hurt,” he said. “On the surface, it doesn’t look like there was any interaction between these officers and whoever the coward is who shot them while they sat in their cars.” The department has now declared that there is a “clear and present danger” to their officers.

In the Youtube video Greene posted, where he was kicked out of the game, Greene claimed that the “African-American” people sitting behind him were throwing things at him and also stole his flag. He also claimed the officers assaulted him. “I think I’ve been assaulted by you!” Greene can be heard saying. “You grabbed me and shoved me around!” Officers explained he was being kicked off of the school property because the flag he was waving violated the school code. Greene wrote in a comment on his video, “I was offended by the blacks sitting through our anthem. Thousands more whites fought and died for their freedom. However this is not about the Armed forces, they are cop haters.”

Following the shooting, Urbandale cancelled classes for all of its public schools. Iowa Governor Terry Branstad also responded to the shootings in a statement, saying, “An attack on public safety officers is an attack on the public safety of all Iowans. We call on Iowans to support our law enforcement officials in bringing this suspect to justice. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the police officers who were tragically killed in the line of duty as well as the officers who continue to put themselves in harm’s way.”
