Men Should Embrace Their Masculinity, And Women Should Embrace Their Femininity

One of the biggest complaints I’ve heard from my female friends over the years is that men have gotten way too wimpy for their tastes. These women are looking for John Wayne types, and they keep running into pale, wishy-washy slackers who seem so emasculated that women question whether they have hormone issues. If you’re a man, are you decisive? Does your girl feel safe with you? Can she count on you to handle tough situations? Can you shoot a gun? Get rid of a spider in the house? Can you throw a punch? Are you comfortable being in charge? Are you chivalrous? Do you have a firm handshake? Are you someone people would want around during a crisis?

If you’re a man, these are things you should aspire to be. Why be masculine if you’re a man? Well, not only do women like it but men respect it, and believe it or not, it feels good. For women, especially women who have jobs that force them to take on traditionally masculine roles, it can be easy to lose touch with your femininity. Are you feminine?

Would other people describe you as girly? Are you okay with letting a man you trust and care about help you with problems? Can you be vulnerable in front of a man? Are you okay with wearing your hair longer, putting
on a dress, and rocking some heels? Is it possible for you to enjoy taking care of a man you care about? Some women confuse femininity with being subservient to a man or have gotten so used to competing with men during their workday that the whole process feels awkward.

However, just as women tend to like masculine men, men tend to like feminine women. Furthermore, many women find that being feminine feels good. That’s doubly true if you’re a tough woman who’s used to being in charge who finds a man so strong that she feels comfortable being feminine in his presence. Life is not a one-size-fits-all situation, but rarely will you find a man who doesn’t benefit from being able to display masculinity or a woman who doesn’t make her life better by being feminine.
