Student protesters at the University of Missouri asked white supporters to leave Wednesday night in order to create a “black only healing space.” Give me a break. Everyone was there for support- so why separate the groups?

Steve Schmidt, an activist who was at the protest, tweeted that Concerned Student 1950 group were “asking white allies to leave.”

Prominent Black Lives Matter activist Johnetta Elzie seemingly confirmed those with Caucasian skin were asked to leave the area, tweeting that the group had created a “black only healing space for the students to share, decompress, be vulnerable & real.”

KOMU-TV reporter Jared Koller tweeted that white individuals were in another group upstairs.

The news comes after the Concerned Student 1950 group had blasted the “white media” earlier this week for not “respecting black spaces.”
Because that seems totally fair, right? Why is reverse racism being condoned and white allies shunned? If you are looking for sympathy towards your cause, you aren’t likely to get any if you ostracize those trying to help – I’m just sayin’
