40 years ago, Ronald Reagan told us what would happen if we elected someone like Barack Obama. His words also apply to the likes of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. If we had truly taken his words to heart, we would not be where we are today. His words ring as true today as they did when he uttered them. “There is no such thing as Left or Right, there is only Up or Down. And regardless of their sincerity or their humanitarian motives, those who would trade our freedom for security have embarked on this downward course.” – President Ronald Reagan… This video shows the stark contrast between Reagan and Obama. The US has truly morphed and not in a good way since the “A Time for Choosing” campaign video from Reagan. The video was meant to help get Barry Goldwater elected. It didn’t, but it did start the historical rise of Ronald Reagan. “We’re at war with the most dangerous enemy that has ever faced mankind in his long climb from the swamp to the stars,” said Reagan about the USSR. Now we have all but forgotten his warnings about the Russians and we are told they are not a threat. They are just as big a threat today as ever, regardless of Trump’s involvement with Putin and his cronies, or Obama’s ‘flexibility’ with them. Reagan warned us of Obama and what was coming, but we ignored his warnings. The contrast between our current president, the candidates before us and Reagan is sobering to say the least. Now, we hover at the doorstep of destruction and the collapse of the shining city on the hill. Tragic.
