Ben Carson’s Witty Response To An Atheist Who Denigrated His Belief in God [Video]

I don’t fully agree with every stance that Ben Carson puts forth, but he is a man of God and a truly brilliant conservative. His response to the atheist was perfect, witty, wry and hilarious. Carson would make a fine president both morally and intellectually. His constitutional beliefs need a little honing, but he puts God first in all he does. When you can take a militant atheist to the woodshed this easily, you definitely are able to dance on your feet politically. When you disparage someone’s closely held religious beliefs, you deserve nothing less than Carson’s well-played response.

Ben Carson

From IJReview:

Ben Carson, while speaking to the Faith and Freedom Conference in Washington, D.C., last weekend, told a story about how he responded to an attack from a particularly aggressive atheist:

“I remember a few years back I was engaged in a debate in Hollywood with a leading atheist. This guy thinks anybody who believes in God is a total moron. As they got to the end of the conversation, you know, he is denigrating anybody who could believe in Creation, I said, “You know what? You win.”

“I believe I came from God, and you believe you came from a monkey. And you’ve convinced me you’re right.”

Evidently the comeback enraged atheists out there, who started calling Ben Caron ‘uninformed’ and ‘moronic.’ Really? He’s a retired Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon. He was the first surgeon to successfully separate conjoined twins joined at the head. Carson graduated from Yale University, where he majored in psychology. He received his M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School. This is a brilliant and gifted man. But since he believes in God, you deem him deficient mentally? I’ll take Ben Carson any day of the week over the atheists – it’s the smart and sane thing to do.
