I’m pro-military, and I am not afraid to say so.
My baby sister, who would probably die if she heard me say that about her, is a Marine. Sure, she’s no longer active duty, but once a Marine, always a Marine. She bravely went on two tours, to Iraq and Afghanistan and fought: to make sure that we can all stay free.
That’s why: THIS story is so close to my heart.
“Time and time again the comment was made that we leave no soldier behind and then the other comment was under Article 2 of the Constitution, the president has the responsibility for the troops and a responsibility to protect all Americans abroad,” Salmon said. “And given that, I’m just wondering why the president hasn’t lifted a finger at all to help Sgt. Tahmooressi, who’s in prison in Mexico — has been for two months.”
“And he needs to be home,” said Salmon, who has visited Tahmooressi.
Tahmooressi, 25, who moved to California from Florida to get treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), has said he accidentally crossed the U.S. border into Mexico.
Salmon said there is no controversy about Tahmooressi’s service to this country.
“He’s an American hero,” Salmon said. “Served two tours in Afghanistan and was promoted in field for his activities and his valor.”
Kudos to Rep. Matt Salmon (R, Arizona) for calling the: Obama administration out on this hypocrisy and travesty of justice. Rep. Salmon is a patriot dedicated to the service of liberty. : All, not Obama’s selected few, need to come home. These are the true American Heros and they deserve so much more than the callous disregard of an indifferent administration. We will fight for you, Marine, and give you every voice we can. Your name and face will not be forgotten, Sgt. Tahmooressi.
