An RNC official made an announcement yesterday…he believes Donald Trump can win the nomination with LESS than 1,237 delegates in his bucket…BEFORE the convention. Now, there is a question on the minds of many. Is that a rule change?

Nope, Republican National Committee member Randy Evans was simply saying he thought it was very likely Trump would win the nomination on the first ballot – provided he goes into the convention with over 1,100 delegates.
Now it appears the RNC is dropping further hints that it’s beginning to accept the idea that Trump will be the nominee and they better not be messing with the rules to try to prevent that from occurring.
Yesterday, Peter Feaman, a RNC committeeman from Florida and a member of the party’s rules committee said members agreed in a recent conference call that changing the rules now with the looming possibility of a contested convention would give the impression that they were trying to rig the process, according to the Washington Examiner.
“The consensus was that the RNC rules committee is going to specifically steer clear of any proposed convention rules changes because we don’t want the RNC perceived as somehow wanting to manipulate the process one way or another,” he said.
The quarterly meeting next week will be the last time RNC members get together before the Republican National Convention in July in Cleveland.
However, that doesn’t mean the rules won’t be tinkered with before convention ballots are cast. The convention’s own rules committee, which is made up of delegates as well as party officials, will be able to make changes before the convention doors opens.
Seriously…can someone just wake me up when it’s time to vote?
