Global Elite Fear Trump… Pray for Spring Reality Check

Dream on, global elitists! US politics isn’t the one here in need of a reality check, but the elitists definitely are. It looks like Trump is unstoppable at this point. Of course, we will have to see how Iowa and New Hampshire play out. Cruz looks to take Iowa, but Trump pretty much has New Hampshire sown up. Come March, this should be decided and I’m thinking Trump will be the nominee. He’s so far ahead, I don’t see how you could derail him at this point. Some of the Davos crowd are being more pragmatic and are already saying that Trump and Clinton will be the nominees. If so, the next year will be a political slugfest du jour. Many are whispering about protectionism and economic mismanagement, which is rich and just absurd. Trump didn’t get to be a billionaire by economic mismanagement. As far as protectionism goes, maybe that is exactly what we need.

Global Elite

From Bloomberg:

If Donald Trump as president of the United States is the ghost that’s stalking Davos, many among the global elite hope he’ll be banished by spring. Others see that as wishful thinking.

“I think the nominees will be Donald Trump for the Republicans and Hillary Clinton” for the Democrats, Donald Baer, a former White House adviser under President Bill Clinton, said at a panel co-hosted by Bloomberg and WPP Plc. “The next year will be a very uncertain, chaotic period.”

The prospect of Trump in the White House is ratcheting up anxiety among the 2,500 business and political leaders gathered at the Swiss ski resort for the annual World Economic Forum. With less than two weeks before voting in primaries gets under way and Trump in the Republican Party lead, those who fear a rise in protectionism and economic mismanagement are speaking out against the billionaire property developer.

“Unfortunately I do think that if there were to be a Trump administration the casualty would likely be trade,” said Eric Cantor, a former Republican House Majority Leader and now vice chairman of Moelis & Company. “That’s a very serious prospect for the world.”

Many of these people are still convinced that Trump will not make it through the primaries, which makes no sense at all considering that Trump is far and away the leader in the polls and has wide support from a coalition of Democrats, Independents and Republicans. They are deluding themselves and it is pathetic. The people have coalesced around Trump and are demanding he be the one for better or worse. Elitists are still pushing the lie that we have had an economic recovery, but Americans know better. We also want a wall on our southern border and a halt to illegal immigration and the refugee resettlement program stopped. We want American jobs and economic strength. We want America to be great again. Trump is promising all of that. I just hope he carries through on his promises. To the Davos elites this is the end of the world. To Americans it is a last ditch attempt at restoring freedom.
