HAH! Watch Chris Christie Get in Cubs Fan’s Face at Game

Chris Christie evidently needs ‘shyness’ classes. He just can’t stay out of the headlines. Over the Fourth of July he closed the beaches in New Jersey because a budget wasn’t passed. That would have been fine except he was then seen with his family on a closed beach all by themselves at one of the governor’s homes. Oops. Now this. He goes to a Cubs-Brewers game and with nachos in hand, gets in the face of a Cubs fan who called him a hypocrite. And I mean… right in his face.

The video showing all of this has now gone viral. Christie was mad and didn’t care who saw it. This happened in Milwaukee at Miller Stadium. Brad Joseph, the man in question, said that, “When he initially was going up the stairs I yelled his name. He was quite a bit past me, and 30 feet away I yelled his name and told him that he sucked… I called him a hypocrite because I thought it needed to be said.” Of course, being thin skinned, Christie turned around and confronted the guy. Christie was being ‘razzed’ by some in the crowd at the stadium and that probably just helped set him off.

From the Daily Mail:

An angry Chris Christie has been caught on camera getting up into a Chicago Cubs fan’s face while holding a bowl of nachos after he was called a ‘hypocrite’.

The New Jersey Governor was in Milwaukee at Miller Stadium on Sunday afternoon for the Cubs-Brewers game.

Footage shows him leaning in just inches from Cubs fan Brad Joseph’s face in the stands as he balanced the tray of loaded nachos.

The video was filmed and posted on Twitter by WISN journalist Ben Hutchinson – a relative of Joseph’s – who said Christie was being ‘razzed’ by some in the crowd.

It captured the end of what appeared to be a heated confrontation with the baseball fan.

‘Yeah, you’re a big shot,’ Christie could be heard saying.

He then pulled back and walked away down the stairs to his seat with his nachos still in tact.

‘I appreciate that,’ Joseph replied as Christie retreated.

Joseph had his friends sitting with him and they asked what the governor said to him. He told them what was said and a woman with him commented that there was a Secret Service agent standing watching the whole time. What a tough guy Christie is, huh? The video was taken by WISN journalist Ben Hutchinson and then subsequently posted to Twitter where it went viral. Hutchinson is a relative of Joseph’s. Awkward and very bad luck as well as optics for Christie.

“He turned around back towards me and got in my face for what seemed like a long time, but was probably only about 30 seconds or a minute. (He) was yelling at me. First he told me, ‘Why don’t you have another beer?’ which I thought was a decent come back, and I thought that was kind of funny. Then he started calling me a tough guy.” People were actually laughing at the scene. It’s the second time in a month he’s been booed at a game. He was just jeered at a Mets game in New York earlier this month. Looks like Christie doesn’t give two cents about his image these days. Which is good because just about everyone detests the guy and with good reason.
