This GOP Candidate Finally Took The Gloves Off Against Trump – Then BOOM… The Fireworks Start

Marco Rubio took the gloves off last night and went after Donald Trump on immigration, which I find ironic and amusing. Rubio, who with the Gang of 8 wanted Amnesty and illegal immigrants galore, is going after Trump on hiring immigrants at his hotels and resorts. The New York Times has reported that since 2010, Donald Trump’s 17-acre Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida has been actively hiring foreign guest workers from Romania and other countries: “[N]early 300 United States residents have applied or been referred for jobs as waiters, waitresses, cooks and housekeepers there. But according to federal records, only 17 have been hired. In all but a handful of cases, Mar-a-Lago sought to fill the jobs with hundreds of foreign guest workers from Romania and other countries.” Trump sought 500 visas, which last between 10 months and 3 years, for vacancies at Mar-a-Lago and his other Florida properties since 2010, mostly for workers from Europe out of hospitality colleges. I don’t view this as anywhere near what Rubio is guilty of, but it is interesting.

Debate

From Independent Journal:

Donald Trump boasted on the stage Thursday evening that he was the only Republican talking about illegal immigration. Then Marco Rubio brought up a story about Trump hiring immigrants.

The fact of the matter is that what Trump did was legal and up front. Bringing in millions of illegal immigrants and forcing them on Americans is subversive and treasonous. I fail to see here what Trump did that was so wrong or what Rubio is making a big deal out of. By the way, this is not the same as Disney terminating 250 Americans and filling their jobs with guest workers. The jobs that Trump filled were slotted for guest workers from the beginning. This argument is specious. Now, it is true he has spoken against his own actions it would seem: “The influx of foreign workers holds down salaries, keeps unemployment high, and makes it difficult for poor and working class Americans – including immigrants themselves and their children – to earn a middle class wage … Every year, we voluntarily admit another 2 million new immigrants, guest workers, refugees, and dependents, growing our existing all-time historic record population of 42 million immigrants. We need to control the admission of new low-earning workers[.]” But I still don’t see how what Trump did was so egregious. He employs 10’s of thousands of employees and the vast majority are Americans. Rubio… he’s for opening our borders and keeping them open. I think I’ll go with Trump.
