Adorable stray dog retrieves bowl five houses away to bring to his rescuers

stray dogMany people lost their homes in recent years in Detroit’s troubled economy. Some left their dogs behind, who remained at the homes to fend for themselves. Fortunately, there is an organization that is bringing attention to their plight and rescuing them.

IHeartDogs reports,

We see a lot of stray dog videos – usually with the strays being scared and running while the rescuers try to corral and save them. Then there’s this dog. Members of the World Animal Awareness Society (WA2S) team were in Detroit working on the American Strays Project, filming these abandoned houses were hundreds of stray dogs roam. When he saw the team, he left to go five houses over to get his food bowl so they could fill it for him.

What a wonderful organization that you never knew existed. Watch the sweet video below, and more episodes of their show, American Strays, here.
