Here we go again… Illegal Immigrant Children by the thousands cross the Border.

Last year, thousands of unaccompanied minors were sent, presumably by their parents, across the border into the United States. In Fiscal Year 2014, the United States saw a 117% increase in the number of these children who were caught attempting to illegally enter the country. Now it appears, we are set to start it all over again as again thousands of minors are attempting to cross the border again.

“Authorities report that about 15,647 children trying to enter the country illegally and without parents tried to jump the border in the first six months of the fiscal year. That compares to apprehended 28,579 during the same time frame in 2014. Reports The Washington Times:

Just as worrisome is the rate of whole families — usually mothers with young children — who are crossing. So far this fiscal year, authorities have captured 13,911 “family units,” down 30 percent from last year.

The surge of unaccompanied minor flooding across the southern border last summer resulted in a political crisis from the Obama administration.

A September 2014 report estimates that the cost of educating illegal immigrant children was about $761 million last year. Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) issued the 2014 report on the 37,000 “unaccompanied minors” – who mainly are from Central America – after analyzing data from the Department of Health and Human Services and education funding formulas in all 50 states.

Last November, Obama announced executive action granting tentative legal status and work permits to nearly 4 million illegal immigrant parents whose children are either U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents.”

Of course we can all expect the standard “pull at your heartstrings” questions about where we will send these children. You can fully expect liberals to ignore the whole issue that their parents abandoned them at the border in the first place. Maybe President Obama needs to take a page from the Dwight D. Eisenhower playbook on dealing with illegal immigration.
