How can I help?

John,

Honestly, what can I do to be a better American and fight for what I believe is a culture coup by the Obama misfits. This so called stimulus package is a total cover up for what I believe is a move by the Democrats to make this country far left forever…the real Obama agenda! I’ll shut up cause I know you get tons of email. If I get no response it’s okay. Thanks for your site. I love my country.

To help out, you don’t need deep pockets, you don’t have to be extremely talented, and you don’t even necessarily have to give up a lot of your time. What you do have to do is: what you can, with what you have, where you’re at.

The first step is finding a person or an organization you want to help. Maybe it’s a political candidate like Jim DeMint. If not a particular candidate, maybe you want to help the RNC. If not the RNC, maybe you want to help out NumbersUSA. If not NumbersUSA, maybe you can get behind Right Wing News. If not Right Wing News, maybe you can lift up Ann Coulter.

Whatever the case may be, once you find someone you want to help, help them. For example, with blogs you can…

* Support their advertisers.
* Donate money.
* Buy an ad.
* Forward their posts to your friends.
* Post their articles with a link back in forums you like to visit.
* Ask your local college to invite them as a speaker.

With a conservative columnist you like, you can…

* Write your local paper and ask to have them added as a columnist.
* Forward their columns to your friends.
* Buy their books.
* Visit their personal websites.
* Ask your local college to invite them as a speaker.

With political candidates, you can…

* Donate money.
* Put a sign in your yard.
* Talk them up to your friends.
* Phone bank for them.
* Show up and volunteer.

Seem simple? That’s because it is.

Everybody doesn’t have to be Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, or Thomas Sowell for the conservative movement to succeed. But, the most successful people on the Right can only be successful if other conservatives back them. So, do that: support the people and organizations who are out there fighting for the things you believe in. It’s like Ted Nugent said,

You’ve got to start raising Hell — and I am constantly being gunned down by the media; I’m a curse, I’m a dangerous guy, I’m a madman, I’m scary, I have too many guns, I shoot all the deer — eat me. I stand up and I take the bullets because my name is Davy Crockett. This is the wall of the Alamo. If you can’t shoot Santa Anna’s men, shut up and load my gun. So get tough and get tougher.

The conservative movement can take over the GOP again and the Republican Party can get back on track at the ballot box faster than most people think. But to do it, those of us who are out there fighting the political war for the future of our country need a lot more people to load our guns.
