Mother Facing Child Abuse Investigation Now Accused of Faking Cancer for Sympathy

There is a special place in hell for those to lie about having cancer. For those of us who have had a loved one pass away from the nasty disease, it’s a slap in the face to hear someone pretending to have it. ESPECIALLY someone who is only using it for sympathy to distract of something as horrible as child abuse.

It all began going bad for Ashley Reichard when she took her 11-month-old daughter to a hospital last July. The infant had several injuries including two skull fractures and a broken femur, the Associated Press reports.

But the 26-year-old suburban Philadelphia mother told investigators that the infant was with her father when the injuries occurred, AP wrote.

This was just the first alleged falsehood Reichard would tell during the course of the investigation.

After police ruled out the father, police returned to question Reichard again.

This time, they found the mother completely bald with no eyebrows and claiming she had ovarian cancer, AP reports.

This, too, would prove to be false, cops say.

According to AP, Reichard was charged Wednesday with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and perjury for allegedly lying during the investigation.

I would call this woman scum, but really, I feel like that would be offensive to scum. All I will say ts that this woman will get what she deserves, and it will be fabulous.
