A family in North Carolina received a dream home makeover. These parents had seven children, five of them adopted. Their home was in shambles, but they were doing everything they could to hold the family together. Each of the five adopted children were biologically related to each other. And the couple said they couldn’t imagine breaking the family apart.

But after the home was rebuilt into a gorgeous 8 bedroom mansion, things started to change. First the oldest adopted son was sent to a group home to live temporarily…. but they never came back for him. Then a few months later the daughter was also moved to a group home. Before long, all five of the children no longer lived with the adoptive parents.

Many wonder whether it was just a cover for the parents to get gain and receive a brand new home. The couple claims that it is all a misunderstanding, but things definitely look suspicious.

The oldest adopted son and the first one to be removed from the home said of the trauma:

“I felt like they were my mom and dad. I loved them like they were my real parents. I did,’ Chris told WSOC-TV.

“What they did to us was just wrong. (They) threw us all out.”

“My brother and sisters were 5 years-old. How can they get [into] that much trouble where they have to kick them out?”

“I know it was all about the money. From the first day, it was all about the money.”

It is, at the very least, a terribly sad turnout for the five young children who thought that they had received a home here. But now are forced back into the system. The two oldest were moved around until they reached adulthood, at eighteen years-old. Now they say they will be changing their last names and moving on with their lives without the help of this couple who turned out to be anything but parents.
