Newborn girl found alive in dumpster after 15-year-old mom gave birth & boyfriend ‘threw it away’

bbydmpstrA man heard a loud noise outside, and saw a young man walking away from a dumpster. He walked over to the dumpster and heard a newborn infant crying. He immediately called the police.

The UK Guardian reports,

The 17-year-old boyfriend of the baby’s mom, 15, has now been arrested and charged with the child’s attempted murder.

The McCracken County sheriff’s office said the baby was in a stable condition after being found by the man from a Paducah business in the rubbish container at Fernwood Apartments at Berger Road and Goodman Drive on Thursday afternoon. On Friday the child was being cared for in hospital.

Capt. Matt Carter of the sheriff’s office told The Paducah Sun there is ‘no doubt about it, the eyewitness saved the baby’s life’.

A 17-year-old boy was detained later and charged with attempted murder, first-degree criminal abuse and tampering with physical evidence, Frommeyer said

The baby was taken to hospital and being cared for there still on Friday night.

The mother lives with her mother and sister in an apartment near the business where the baby was found, and the boyfriend lives with his aunt, Frommeyer said.

The girl’s family told authorities they didn’t know she was pregnant, the sergeant added.

The 17-year-old boy is scheduled to appear in juvenile court on Monday. Officials did not release the names of the teens because of their ages.

Fortunately, this sad story has a happy ending thanks to the kind passerby. But these types of babykilling incidents are increasing as society continues to devalue human life. First legalized abortion, next legalized euthanasia, so why not legalized babykilling next? It’s a sad state of affairs when so many mothers and fathers have become this callous.
