President Obama’s budget blueprint Thursday shelved extension of the controversial border fence beyond the 670 miles already completed or planned — rejecting the much-heralded security approach orchestrated by former President George W. Bush.
The Obama administration’s turnabout left funds for roads, lights and so-called tactical infrastructure — but not a dime to extend the pedestrian fencing and vehicle barriers erected along roughly a third of the nation’s 1,947-mile border with Mexico.
Originally, Obama voted for it as a Senator, and will provide funds to finish the first 670 miles, but, nothing to go any further. What with the escalating violence at the US-Mexico border, the home invasions, and the continuing flow of illegal aliens, you would think that Mr. Constitutional Lawyer would read the part about protecting American citizens from all foes, but, making a surprise appearance for a burger photo op is more important. I’m sure the lights will really stop the cross border incursions.
But, we already know that Obama and the Democrat Congress are looking to bring back Shamnesty and count illegals during the next Census. And
As part of the upcoming year’s budget, President Barack Obama has proposed cutting the State Criminal Alien Assistance program, which spends $400 million annually to cover the costs state and local facilities incur in keeping in jail illegal immigrants who are also criminal offenders.
Unfortunately, if all the extreme right wing extremists who are considered extreme right wing extremists for against allowing illegal aliens to become citizens and giving them driver’s licenses stand up to make their voices heard, the powers that be will not sit down, listen, and act, as happened when the GOP still controlled Congress and the White House.
