Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton responded to Donald Trump’s takedown of her candidacy with a sigh.
“Think about it. He’s going after me personally because he has no answers on the substance,” Clinton said during a rally in North Carolina. “All he can do is he’s trying to distract us. That’s even why he’s attacking my faith.”
After pausing for dramatic effect, she said. “Sigh.”
Clinton also portrayed herself as a victim of Trump’s mean-spirited attacks on the Clinton Foundation, calling it a “philanthropic foundation that saves and improves lives.”
She ended her speech with a few political zingers criticizing Trump for his empty promises and flurry of attacks.
“Maybe we shouldn’t expect better from someone who’s most famous words are ‘You’re Fired,’” she said. “As president, I’m going to make sure that you hear, ‘You’re Hired!’”
She cited economic experts warning that Trump’s policies would cut jobs and raise the national debt, putting Americans back into a recession.
“We need to write a new chapter in the American dream and it can’t be chapter 11,” she said.
Is this woman above practicing her speeches before she gets on stage?? Ridiculous.
