28-Yr old brunette model, Ashley Graham, announced the news in an Instagram post on Tuesday….alongside a photo of her in a purple two-piece swimsuit. The announcement that she is going to be a FIRST, for Sports Illustrated.

Ashley Graham is the first plus size woman to be featured on the pages of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.

Though Graham was featured in an advertisement for SI last year, this is the first time she will appear in the actual issue.

She is one of several swimsuit rookies vying to be named “Rookie of the Year,” an award that Kelly Rohrbach took home last year.
