State Cuts Welfare Rolls 80% by Doing Just One Small Thing…

Welfare reform is or should be a part of every conservative governor’s reform package.  Maine’s Paul LePage made one simple reform that cut the welfare rolls by 80%

Maine Gov. Paul LePage thought it wise to re-institute a rule mandating that all able-bodied adults without dependents who received food stamps either participate in job training, work 20 hours per week at a part-time job or volunteer for six hours in their community weekly.

LePage apparently wanted to inspire his state’s beneficiaries to get off the couch and go do something with themselves.

Liberals are of course attacking him for being cruel and inhumane. You know, because obviously.
