TOP Army Officer Encourages Troops To “DISOBEY ORDERS” To Survive Our New Reality…

Generally when you hear that a high-level Army Officer is telling their troops that it’s okay to “disobey orders,” you immediately think that they are encouraging their men to not listen to the Commander-in-Chief’s directions. Under a Republican President, it wouldn’t be surprising.

However, when Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley warned his men that they might have to disobey specific orders, it had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with survival.

“There’s an entire generation of officers now that think — their own experience in combat is to fight from Victory base, or Bagram base, or fixed sites, where you have access to a variety of comfort items, if you will. Pizza Huts and Burger Kings and stuff like that.”

Unfortunately, he warns, things aren’t going to be like this forever. Future wars will be carried out a bit differently, he believes:

“The likelihood of massing forces on a base for any length of time certainly means you’re going to be dead. If you’re stationary, you’ll die.”

He then said that the Army will have to “untether ourselves from this umbilical cord of logistics and supply that American forces have enjoyed for a long time.”

Ultimately, this new kind of combat will allow troops more autonomy on the field, as opposed to being fed their plans down to the last detail and being forced to comply regardless of whether it will help accomplish the final goal.

“A subordinate needs to understand that they have the power and they have the freedom to disobey a specific order, a specified task, in order to accomplish the purpose.”

What it boils down to is that the war in the Middle East has not exactly been one of the hardest wars fought by America. This means that the future will bring a fresh kind of war that will have radically different rules and we need to be prepared.
