VIDEO: Father Caught on Camera Smuggling 2-day Old Baby Born With Illegal Drugs in System Out of Arizona Hospital in a Bag

mnstlbbyTold that his newborn would be taken away from him due to illegal drugs present in her system, a father tried to sneak her out of a hospital in Glendale, Arizona. Jason Matthew Bristol, age 33, was caught by a hospital surveillance camera smuggling his 2-day old baby out through hospital doors in a shopping bag.

The Daily Mail reports,

After placing the girl in a bag, he is seen on surveillance video sneaking her out of Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in January before making it home without being caught.

Glendale Police Department received a call from the hospital on February 21, at 12.41pm reporting a possible missing newborn, according to a statement released to Daily Mail Online following the incident.

On February 26, both Bristol and the child’s mother, Diana McKinney, 30, were arrested and could face child abuse and drug possession charges, according to AZ Daily Sun.

The child was taken into the custody of the Arizona Department of Child Safety following the arrest, and police said that the baby girl is safe.

Their daughter was born at home in Youngtown on before she was taken to the hospital on January 21, where she was found with meth, morphine and marijuana in her system, according to court documents.

When the baby’s father was arrested, he was in possession of meth. It is tragic that the mother of this baby would take illegal drugs while pregnant. If you’re not responsible enough to take care of another human being, don’t get pregnant. This baby may suffer damage the rest of her life because of the drugs. Watch the creepy surveillance video below, where the father is seen carrying the shopping bag with his live baby in it, trying unsuccessfully at first to get a door to open to flee the hospital. He could have made the situation even worse had the baby smothered to death.
