Video Of A Real Hero: Unarmed Man Gets Shot Saving A Woman Being Robbed

man robbing womanIt’s always incredible to hear about fellow Americans standing up in the midst of a crime to protect others being harmed. One brave young man put his life at risk to stop a criminal from robbing a woman on a street in New Orleans – and ended up with a bullet in his stomach as a result.

Newsmax reports,

Police released surveillance footage of a Tulane University medical student being shot while trying to stop an apparent armed robbery in New Orleans.

Not only did the student save the woman, he actually stopped his car, got out, and took on her attacker when he could have just kept driving.

According to The Times-Picayune the footage, captured by a nearby business, shows a man in a hooded shirt dragging a woman down a street early Friday morning. She falls and the man takes her purse. Twenty-five-year-old Peter Gold stops to help the woman, and the man pulls out a gun and shoots Gold. The woman was not injured.

This is sheer evidence chivalry is not dead. And no matter what the feminists say, there will be plenty of occasions where a man jumping in to save a woman might be pretty effective. God bless this young man and we pray he will recover; he is currently listed in “guarded” condition at the hospital. Police are still on the lookout for the assailant. Watch the chilling surveillance video below (warning: graphic footage of the shooting).
