VIDEO: Priceless SNL skit spoofs Starbucks ‘race together’ disaster; talk sex with your mechanic

SNL gender and sexual identity skitThe concept of Starbucks baristas randomly talking about race with customers was so offensive that the campaign was dropped quickly. The company, known in recent years for being the drink of “white girls” and refusing to locate in heavily black areas, was not helping things by foisting the image of a preppy barista talking down to average Americans about race. Fortunately, Saturday Night Live has come up with a skit making fun of the whole stupid idea.

BizPac Review reports,

“Saturday Night Live” took a hilarious comic shot Saturday at Starbucks’ disastrous “race together” campaign to ruin Americans’ morning routine by forcing uncomfortable conversations on unwilling people.

The “SNL” crew put a hilarious spin on it, kicking off a “genderflect” campaign at Pep Boys stores, giving all Americans a chance to talk sex with their mechanic.

Maybe Starbucks should walk the walk, instead of just talking the talk. If you’re going to preach about race, you might look at yourself first. Watch the hilarious skit below (warning – for those who haven’t watched SNL skits in a few years, they’ve gotten a bit racy).
