Texas Has AWESOME Response To Target Bathroom Policy

Texas isn’t taking the whole transgender bathroom nonsense lying down. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent Target CEO Brian Cornell a letter demanding a concrete explanation of how Target would protect women and children in their bathrooms from predators and perverts. “Target, of course, is currently free to choose such a policy for its Texas stores. The voters in Houston recently repealed by a wide margin an ordinance that advanced many of the same goals as Target’s current policy,” Paxton wrote. And Texans are free not to shop at Target anymore as well. “The Texas Legislature may at some point in the future address the issue. Regardless of whether Texas legislates on this topic, it is possible that allowing men in women’s restrooms could lead to criminal and otherwise unwanted activity,” he continued. “As chief lawyer and law enforcement officer for the State of Texas, I ask that you provide the full text of Target’s safety policies regarding the protection of women and children from those who would use the cover of Target’s restroom policy for nefarious purposes.” Man, I love Texas!

Target

From the Conservative Tribune:

Target probably thought that they would score some points with the political correctness crowd when it recently announced its transgender bathroom and dressing room policy.

Instead, what it got was severe backlash, a boycott, and now some tough questions from Texas’ attorney general.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sent Target CEO Brian Cornell a letter asking how the retail chain planned to protect women and children in its restrooms now that it was letting customers pick their bathroom based on their gender identity.

The American Family Association, which has organized the largest boycott against Target for its new policy, said it was thrilled with Attorney General Paxton’s letter. The petition has now reached almost 1.2 million signatures. “It’s fabulous that someone in leadership in our country is stepping up to the plate and asking the tough questions that need to be asked,” AFA spokesman Walker Wildmon said. I don’t know about you, but I don’t relish walking into a women’s restroom and seeing a dude there. I’m afraid I would be less than civil. It’s about safety, not “tolerance.” This is just the beginning as this madness will sweep the nation. I personally won’t go to any store who condones ‘gender fluid’ bathrooms. Neither will my family. Millions of Americans feel this way. If stores insist on this policy, be prepared to take a major financial hit and to embrace bankruptcy. Welcome to the free market.
