Conservative talk radio weekly recap: Feb 22-26

My new Talk Radio Watch column is now up!

Enjoy FREE audio and webcam highlights from the week in conservative talk radio: Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Mark Levin and more.

Here’s what came in after my deadline:

Hugh Hewitt played the now-infamous “wearing her sister’s dentures” clip from the Blair House health care summit for guest Mark Steyn:

S: (laughing) That’s good. That’s good for the environment, isn’t it?

HH: (laughing)

MS: I’m in favor of that. If we can’t at least, if we can’t reduce our carbon footprint, at least we should be able to reduce our mastication mouth print by recycling dentures. I mean, this gets to the heart of why this is…is second-hand dentures, which I believe was the fourth chorus of that Barbra Streisand song, for those with long memories, but is second-hand dentures a huge problem in the United States? “Arbitron Inc., a major radio ratings provider, is expanding the size of its advisory board to nine members to increase the ethnic and technological diversity of the group,” reports Business Week. Speaking of Arbitron, their annual “Radio Today” report says:

Thanks in part to a historic presidential election and important congressional campaigns, news/talk/information ranked as the #1 format in fall 2008 with a 12.6% share of Persons 12+, far above its 10.7% share of Spring 2007, and slightly ahead of Country’s 12.5%. With 30 more AM and FM stations than in Spring 2007, and more than 1,000 HD channels and internet streams, N/T/I boasts more broadcast signals by far than any other format…

Low rated liberal host Ed Schultz declared this week that “we should rip out Dick Cheney’s heart.”

Speaking of which… if you ever wondered why people listen to Glenn Beck’s radio show, and why it is (according to some) the Number 2 show in America, this might help explain things:
