Cutting Taxes Produces Results…Again: Because of George Bush’s tax cut we had what was perhaps the mildest recession in US history and the economy is turning around big time. In fact, the GNP went up a torrid 5.8% in the first quarter of 2002. If we wouldn’t have had to increase spending so much because of 9/11 we’d be running a surplus this year as well. Of course, we could of cut spending to balance the budget but the government NEVER seems to do that.
