Debbie Does DNC

I apologize for that post title, but I couldn’t resist.

The new DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Shultz is a gift from heaven for Republicans. There are many Democrats I disagree with, but I know are smart. Shultz makes Joe Biden look like a brainiac. She is like Howard Dean, but she brings even more crazy.

Let’s start with the most fun clip. Here it seems that the DNC chair has no idea that an “undocumented worker” is actually illegal already.

Recently she said, “We must expose the stark difference between the Democrats fighting for the middle class and Republicans fighting for the elite and the ultra-wealthy.” Sort of forgetting that there are more Democrat millionaires than Republican millionaires in Congress. In fact, 7 of the 10 richest members of Congress are Democrats. She is also forgetting that that the Democrat party is beholden to Hollywood, one of the wealthiest segments of society. Remember George Soros funding, and he’s not exactly middle class, nor are the academia, gay activists, feminists, and public employee unions that run the party.

During the health care debate she whined from the floor that “ObamaCare” is somehow a “disparaging reference to the President of the United States.” She insisted that it was against the rule to disparage the President. Was she around when Bush was President? Good grief.

This may be the funniest thing. Last week Wasserman-Schultz tore into Republicans who criticized Pres Obama’s bailouts of GM and Chrysler by saying that “if it were up to the candidates for President on the Republican side, we would be driving foreign cars.” It seems Wasserman-Schultz owns a Nissan, with a license plate includes her initials. You have to either hope that wouldn’t be discovered, or just be one card short of a full deck to not think about that when you say something like that. Maybe she doesn’t know what “foreign” means either?

She recently accused Representative Paul Ryan of setting what would “literally be a death trap for seniors” with his Medicare reform proposals. Perhaps she misunderstands what “literally” means like she misunderstands what “illegal” means.

Even blasted her on her statements about Ryan’s Medicare reform:

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz falsely claimed that seniors with preexisting medical conditions would be denied Medicare coverage under the GOP’s plan. The House GOP plan specifically says insurance companies “must agree to offer insurance to all Medicare beneficiaries.”
She also repeated a false Democratic talking point that future beneficiaries – those who are now younger than 55 – would be left on their own to buy insurance in the private market. The GOP plan, as we have written before, would provide subsidies for future beneficiaries to buy private insurance from a Medicare exchange set up by the government.

She is simply wrong to say that the GOP plan would allow insurance companies to “throw you to the wolves and allow insurance companies to deny you coverage and drop you for preexisting conditions.” The Republican plan – dubbed “Path to Prosperity” by its chief architect, House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin – would make no changes in Medicare for those 55 and older. But it would make significant changes to Medicare for those younger than 55 – just not as described by the Florida Democrat. The plan would provide future beneficiaries with government subsidies to purchase health insurance through a Medicare exchange set up by the government.

There are a few other gaffes like where she laughingly said that oil production was at it’s highest in years, when the opposite is true, but just sit back and relax, watching this train wreck will be fun. There will be lots more to come.

Maybe being DNC chair will give her some time to focus on other things than slurring and mocking the good people in the Tea Party.
