Obamacare encourages illegals to sign up

Remember when Joe Wilson shouted “You lie!” when Obama claimed that health care reform wouldn’t benefit illegal aliens? Liberal reporters and bloggers carried on for weeks, screeching about how “you lie” was a new racist dog whistle term.

Well, it looks like Joe Wilson was right.

Just as conservatives predicted, exchanges are exploiting loopholes in the law in order to sign up illegal aliens:

The Covered California website includes a special page entitled: “No temas si eres indocumentado/a y quieres inscribir a tu familia en un seguro médico” (“Fear not if you are undocumented and want to enroll your family in health insurance”). The website goes on to explain that information shared with Obamacare cannot be shared with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It does not explicitly warn that illegal aliens are ineligible.

The people who wrote the law had to have known this would happen. Their attacks on Joe Wilson for being “racist” were disingenuous all along, meant to distract the public from the fact that Obamacare would be provided to illegals. Despicable.
