Tabicon 2010: First Report

I got up at 4 AM, got a ticket on my way into DC (the cop overclocked me by a good 5 MPH), and arrived in time to go up to Capitol Hill for a pre-Blog Con meet and greet between bloggers and congressional staffers. I was a bit disappointed in how few staffers showed up, but there were a few key peeps there.

Afterward there was a reception and we all b-bopped out to dinner. I got to spend some time hanging out with Renee Ellmers, who’s running against Bob “Who are you” Etheridge. I offered to buy her dinner for her if she’d earmark me a swimming pool once she got into Congress. She declined, thus proving that she’s a fiscal conservative or that sort of thing wasn’t going to fly in a Mexican restaurant where the food was relatively cheap 😉

This morning, I got up and belted out a pretty subpar (for me at least) speech. Also speaking, among others, were Jim Hoft from Gateway Pundit, Stephen Kruiser, and Melissa Clouthier from Liberty Pundit.

Now we’re on to the panels featuring Melissa Clouthier from Liberty Pundit, Matt Lewis and others.

PS: Here are some early pics from Stacy McCain.
