Democrats Block Attempts to Limit Welfare for Weed in Colorado

This story from Colorado tells you all you need to know about the welfare state and the party aggressively devoted to its explosive expansion:

Despite mounting evidence that “welfare for weed” is more than an urban myth, Democratic legislators are balking at a bill that would add marijuana dispensaries and strip clubs to the list of places, along with casinos and liquor stores, where debit-style benefits cards cannot be used to withdraw cash from automatic teller machines, or ATMs.

Their justification:

Democrats said they were worried about limiting access for welfare recipients, many of whom don’t have bank accounts and may find it difficult to locate nearby ATMs in their neighborhoods.

But if the ATMs are located in marijuana dispensaries, Democrat constituents can’t help but find them.

There are no physical whips or shackles involved, at least not if you obediently pay your taxes. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t a form of slavery when you work so that others can sit around smoking pot and voting for Democrats.

Under liberal rule, the hippies have the whip hand.
