WATCH: Police Knock Out ‘Allah Akhbar’ Attacker With Plastic Barrier

In a newly released bit of security footage, a Moroccan man with a knife gets taken down by a very quick-thinking police officer.

The 29 year-old was reported to have been shouting “Allahu Akbar,” the Arabic and Islamic phrase for “God Is Great,” when he cut one officer on the hand in the first confrontation.

Then, as you can see in the video below, another officer uses a bit of the scenery to neutralize the would-be terrorist.

Grabbing a plastic road barrier, this second officer takes a run at the Moroccan and hits him square in the head with it, knocking him down cold. Immediately following, other officers jump in to make their arrest.

A spokesman for the Spanish government said of the incident: “A man entered the border post and once inside, pulled out a large knife and confronted (police) shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ (God is Greatest), slightly injuring a policeman”.

Previously, Breitbart’s London bureau reported on the Moroccan-Spanish border, which has become a hotspot for illegal border crossings which at the narrowest part of the Strait of Gibraltar puts only eight miles of ocean between Europe and Africa.

Migrants, mostly young men from Cameroon, Gambia, Guinea, and the Ivory Coast, are using the Morocco-Spain route as it is considered safer, with one migrant telling Sky News: “People are talking about going to Spain. It seems like it is safer to go through Morocco to Spain than through Libya.”

The UNHCR said Spain was not prepared to handle the increase, with the spokesman for the organisation, Maria Jesus Vega, saying: “What is clear is that, they (Spain’s government) have to get ready.

“They can’t be caught unprepared. What started happening elsewhere in Europe in 2015 can’t be allowed to happen here.
