The heartbreaking loss of NASCAR giant Dale Earnhardt was felt anew on May 3rd, which would have been Earnhardt’s 65th birthday.
From Conservative Brief:
It was said best in a Bully Joel song “Only The Good Die Young,” but just because a hero is gone, this does not mean that they are forgotten.
It was on this day, 65 years ago that one if the biggest gifts in American sports history was born in Kannapolis, North Carolina. While he is gone, his memory will forever live on.
The man in question is Dale Earnhardt, perhaps the greatest driver in the entire history of racing.
He was tragically taken from this world too soon. It was during the last lap of the Daytona 500 in 2001 that he got into a collision with another driver and crashed head first into a wall, live on television.
His legacy continues thanks to his son Dale Jr.
On the occasion of his father’s birthday, he tweeted a great photo of “The Intimidator.”
You don’t have to be a NASCAR fan to understand the hurt that this family is feeling right now. Almost all of us have been personally affected by a sudden and tragic death. Please pray for this family.
