Whoopi Goldberg Puts DeRay McKesson In His Place For Calling ‘Planet Of The Apes’ Racist [VIDEO]

Whoopi Goldberg may be a loudmouthed Trump-hating liberal, but she still has more common sense than a lot of other liberals do. Take Black Lives Matter activist DeRay McKesson. He got “offended” by a poster for the upcoming film “War for the Planet of the Apes” and claimed it was racist — only to have Whoopi lay an epic smackdown.

It all started when “Anti-Racism Strategist” Tariq Nasheed sent out a tweet slamming the poster:

The blue vest, see, was supposed to be reminiscent of McKesson, who is known for wearing a blue vest. And McKesson quickly ran with the controversy.

But people on Twitter were quick to set him straight.

None of that compared to the beatdown that Whoopi gave him on “The View,” though. “DeRay, you need to go back and watch the 1968 original and check out what the apes were wearing. This has nothing to do with you,” she ranted. “This was a movie about what happens when mankind doesn’t pay attention to the environment, to how we treat animals and each other. That’s what that movie was about… Get over yourself!”

“It has nothing to do with him. It has nothing to do with black people,” she added.

It didn’t take long for McKesson to respond to Whoopi — and then backtrack, deleting his previous tweets.

Maybe he should have tried doing a little research before spouting his mouth off.
