Earth Hour Is Today, Yet Another Worthless Symbolic Hissy Fit

Another year, another single hour the climate alarmists dedicate to “promoting awareness” of man caused global warming, er, climate change. Which would seem rather tepid, considering their religious cult has been crashing like the Hindenburg for over six months. But, hey, a single hour spent being “carbonly aware” is the best they can do, since they rarely walk the talk

The symbolic one-hour switch-off, first held in Sydney in 2007, has become an annual global event and organizers World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) said they expect this year’s to be the biggest so far.

The remote Chatham Islands was the first of more than 100 nations and territories to turn off the power at 8.30 p.m. local time, in a rolling event around the globe that ends just across the International Dateline in Samoa 24 hours later.

Event co-founder Andy Ridley told Reuters that 126 countries and territories had so far signed up, with thousands of special events scheduled, including a lights-out party on Sydney’s northern beaches and an Earth Hour ‘speed dating’ contest.

The crocodiles probably appreciate the symbolism and darkness. It’s like a smorgasbord of stupid animals!

Why do the alarmists never do this during the summer, when it’s hot? Oh, right, they don’t want to give up their air conditioning.

What can you do today?

  • Turn all your lights on. All day, if possible. Of course, most of us do turn light and electrical appliances off when we are not using them, in order to save money.
  • Find idiotic AGW stories and tweet the them, using the hashtag #earthhour.
  • Make fun of the alarmists using same hashtag
  • Ask alarmists why they do not walk the talk
  • If you live near a serious climate alarmist, or a legislator in favor of cap and tax, take a driveby and get a photo of their sure to be lit up office/home. Tweet it and let me know. You are welcome to email me the photos, and I will create a special Photobucket folder for them all.

Also, Below the Beltway is designating this Human Achievement Hour for those of us who are not alarmists. What you can do
